Caseificio Quaglia

In the early 1900s, a herder from Entraque settled in the plains of Scarnafigi. His son Angelo started working with milk from small local producers, starting a dairy business. In the 1920s, Pietro and Vincenzo expanded production to include butter and Swiss cheeses like Emmental and Sbrinz. In 1955, the company evolved further, and in 1964 Vincenzo decided to focus on Grana Padano DOP. With the help of a Lombard cheese maker and his son Carlo, they increased production from 12 to 60 wheels daily. By 1990, under the leadership of Carlo and Angelo, the company expanded further, with 22 boilers and 450 quintals of milk processed daily, reaching new markets beyond regional borders.
