Latteria Sociale Mantova is one of Italy’s leading groups in the production of Grana Padano, and in the marketing of other Italian PDO cheeses. Founded in 1929 as a central plant for the supply of pasteurized milk to the city of Mantua, over time the company has maintained its original status as a farmers’ cooperative, expanding considerably and thus becoming a large, state-of-the-art production hub, capable of processing 7,000 quintals of milk each day and producing an average of 1,200 wheels of Grana Padano cheese inside three modern dairies.
It is also equipped with two packaging and grating centers with the most important international certifications and an efficient control and analysis system (HACCP, ICEA for Organic, BRS, IFS, KOSHER, HALAL). Grana Padano from Latteria Sociale Mantova (with serial numbers MN 427, MN 437, MN 473) continues to reap success during the most prestigious international competitions dedicated to cheese producers (World Cheese Awards, International Cheese Awards, etc.). LSM is present in outlets throughout Italy and crosses national borders, going on to supply the world’s leading large-scale retail brands, in Europe, North America, Australia, China and the Far East. In fact, the proportion of exports to total sales is about 70 percent.
